Tejon Ranch and the neighboring Tehachapi foothills have been part of the Feral Flowers archive since 1986. These photographs follow changing combinations of wildflowers, light and landscape across decades of returning to this remarkable region.
The gallery moves from early 35mm film photographs to later full-frame digital work, preserving broad hillsides, intimate plant communities and fleeting moments of light across a landscape photographed for more than forty years.
